Bold new look, same brilliant service

We’re pleased as punch with our brand new website, which we let loose onto the internet in January. The vibrant, dynamic design perfectly reflects the work we do – it’ just what we need to keep delivering excellent events for our existing clients and to bring new names into the fold. We’ve also moved into our spacious new offices and couldn’t be happier about cracking on with our latest projects.

And it seems our clients love these splashy changes as much as we do. Check out what some of them have been saying…

“The new website looks great and congrats on your recent expansion and new office. Sounds as though business is going well.”

“What a good-looking team and website. Nice work and looking forward to seeing the new offices.”

“Brilliant website; excellent work all round.”

Showcase and dinner, Amsterdam

Splash is committed to sourcing venues that offer clients functional space and fabulous style, which is why we were thrilled to organise a showcase, dinner, and networking event for a leading technology manufacturer at Amsterdam’s TOBACCO Theatre – a transformed tobacco auction house that oozes industrial modernism.

The client wanted an event that stood apart, and this multi-room venue definitely delivered. They were blown away by our offering, which included a variety of demo areas and a presentation space. We then transformed it into a dining room for an exquisite dinner and the evening ended with networking, accompanied by a talented sand illustrator who wowed the attendees with his artwork. We were proud to be part of such a fantastic event at a great location.

What’s a typical day at Splash like for you?

There is no such thing as a typical day! I could be doing anything from handling new business enquiries in the office to greeting attendees in an event in Dubai. It’s a dynamic and busy lifestyle that I love!

What do you love most about working at Splash?

Probably the fact we get to see an event from its conception right through to the event itself. You put your heart and soul into organising something, and to see it all come together and all your hard work pay off is brilliant.

What’s the most unexpected thing that’s ever happened at a Splash event?

When the Icelandic ash cloud was causing air travel chaos, we were putting on an event in Dubai and the whole team got stuck there for 10 extra days. When I say stuck, we were staying in a five-star hotel, hanging by the pool in the mornings, and eating some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. So I suppose it wasn’t that bad!

What would you say are the integral components of a great client relationship?

Most importantly, I think it’s about getting to know them really well. Once you know a client’s likes and dislikes, and once you understand them on a more personal level, you are able to serve their needs more effectively. It’s also important to have great intuition and to ask the right questions. I never impose how I want something to be; instead I put more energy into working out exactly what my client wants.

What’s something your clients would be surprised to know about you?

I think our clients know everything about me!

What makes for a truly successful corporate event?

Keeping the delegates at the front of your mind, because ultimately it’s the delegates’ experience of an event that will determine its success. Everything needs to be great, as everything will be talked about or noticed by someone. There’s nothing nicer than a delegate coming up to you and saying, “Great event!”

What are you looking for in terms of new client and events opportunities?

I love when someone wants to achieve a good event but doesn’t know how and we are able to take their ideas and requirements and offer advice on every aspect to produce something amazing.

How do you take your tea?

Nobody should mess with tea. It should be a proper builder’s tea with one sugar and milk – none of these fancy fruit or herbal teas, please!
